For 40+ years, we have been “Sharing the Truth in Love” ( Ephesians 4:15 )
Our Church was founded in June of 1985 under the leadership of Frank Estes, and was formerly known as “Grace Church.” This infant church met in homes, then hotel conference rooms, and even on the 5th floor of an office building. Finally in 1988, a permanent location was secured just off of Highway 6 on Schiller Road in West Houston.
From the church’s inception, Pastor Frank always dreamed of designing and building a facility to meet the real needs of this ministry. In the late 90’s, he proposed a relocation strategy to purchase property located on Richmond Avenue ( also near Highway 6 ), and he developed a functional building plan that would serve the practical needs of the congregation and the community.
Property was purchased, and the existing church building on Schiller Road was sold, allowing construction to begin in 1999 on the church’s new facility. In addition, another change was in the works … a proposed re-branding of the ministry to identify with the surrounding geographic area. Henceforth – West Oaks Fellowship!
We are now a multi-ethnic, non-denominational body of committed believers, seeing lives transformed as “Nations Gathered for Worship — Sharing the Truth in Love.”
